About
The International Union for the Study of Social Insects is a worldwide scientific society devoted to promoting the study of social arthropods. In addition to educational programs,regular society meetings, sponsored symposia, and recognition awards for distinguished service, the IUSSI publishes pertinent work of members and non-members in the peer-reviewed journal Insectes Sociaux.
These web pages were created and are maintained by the North American Section of the society. The NAS services members from Canada, Mexico and the United States. If you are accessing this site from elsewhere in the world, please feel free to browse, but check the links section for your local IUSSI chapter.
OFFICERS
The executive committee for the IUSSI-NAS consist of three officers: President, President-Elect and the Secretary/Treasurer. Each year, the NAS votes in a President-elect, who will serve as President the following year. The Secretary/Treasurer serves a three year appointment. Officers may not serve consecutive terms.
