The International Union for the Study of Social Insects is a worldwide scientific society devoted to promoting the study of social arthropods. In addition to educational programs,regular society meetings, sponsored symposia, and recognition awards for distinguished service, the IUSSI publishes pertinent work of members and non-members in the peer-reviewed journal Insectes Sociaux.
These web pages were created and are maintained by the North American Section of the society. The NAS services members from Canada, Mexico and the United States. This agreement was ratified at the IUSSI 2022 Congress.
OFFICERS
The executive committee for the IUSSI-NAS consists of four officers: President, President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer. Each year, the NAS votes for a President-elect, who will serve as President the following year. The Secretary and Treasurer serve three-year appointments. Officers may not serve consecutive terms.
