Auburn runs a special Presidential Fellowship geared towards attracting superb students to our Ph.D. programs.
The fellowship includes a $47,000 annual salary for 3 years ($22,000 annual fellowship on top of our department’s usual $25,000 annual graduate research assistantship). A tuition waiver is also included. Full details can be found here: https://graduate.auburn.edu/au-presidential-graduate-research-fellowships/. Start date would be August 2025.
If any current or former M.S. students are interested in exploring this Ph.D. opportunity with me – to work on varroa or tropilaelaps biology and management, or the U.S. Beekeeping survey, please reach to me by Friday February 14th so that we can make a plan.
To be competitive, one should have a M.S. degree, or expect to have one by August 2025, and have demonstrated strong research and extension skills and experiences (e.g. multiple research and extension presentations, leadership experience through a club or organization, ideally one or more scientific publications).
Thanks for your consideration!
