3 openings at USDA Honey Bee Breeding, Genetics and Physiology Lab in Baton Rouge, LA

On Wednesday, two permanent technician positions will open until May 19th with Dr. Kate Ihle and Dr. Frank Rinkevich. These positions will involve both laboratory and field tasks. In the lab, the positions will involve routine tasks such as RNA/DNA extractions, real-time PCR and colorimetric assays, as well as bioassays and cage studies. Field work will be primarily colony establishment and maintenance, but may also include behavioral assays, colony phenotyping and experimental manipulations.
