The 2021 George C. Eickwort Student Research Award is Maddie Ostwald

We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2021 George C. Eickwort Student Research Award is Maddie Ostwald!
A brief description of her research: “My research asks how and why social groups form among non-relatives. Using a facultatively social carpenter bee species as a model, I investigate the ecological and physiological drivers underlying the evolution of group living. My research has highlighted the ways in which resource limitation, physiological constraints, and local ecological factors shape social decisions.”
Congratulations, Maddie!
